On behalf of Dr.’s Baranowski, Coughlan, Mahalingham and Suri, we are pleased to welcome Dr. Rachel Wang to Avivo Health Alliance. Dr. Wang is a highly skilled Obstetrician/Gynecologist and we are thrilled to have her joining our team. Below you will find Dr. Wang’s biography and how she will be integrated within our practice.
Dr. Wang Biography
Born in China and raised in Calgary, Dr. Wang completed her Bachelor of Science in Neurology in 2013 and her Master of Science in Neurology in 2015 at the University of Calgary. She began medical school at the University of Alberta in 2014, where she discovered a passion for women’s health and chose to pursue a speciality in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Wang completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2023. Dr. Wang may be familiar to some of our patients as she has been a locum with Avivo Health Alliance for the past year. She is passionate about women’s health, loves obstetrics and has a strong interest in medical education/teaching. Dr. Wang decided to join the Avivo team as she enjoys being part of a collegial group of women who empower other women, especially our patients.
Dr. Wang is a big-time foodie and notes that Village Ice Cream’s Earl Grey is her fav! In her spare time, she is a budding florist and loves to travel.
Practice Opens November 1, 2024
Dr. Wang will begin seeing patients in clinic effective November 1, 2024. Referrals can be sent for review effective immediately for the following:
- Obstetrics/Pre-natal care
- Surgical gynecology
- Menstrual disorders
- Contraception
- Vulvar dermatology
